Sony China holds a press event for Xperia Z1 mini on January 14th

The Sony Xperia Z1 mini has been rumored since the Xperia Z1 was announced in last year IFA. Well the CES 2014 is just few days away and today Sony China has sent out an invitation for a press event.



The first thought when we saw this press invite was the Xperia Z1 mini, as the Japanese version Xperia Z1 f is available in yellow, black, white and pink colours. The invitation has proved that the Xperia Z1 mini will be launching soon and we expect it will make its own debut in CES 2014, and it will launch in China on January 14th.


As for the specifications, the Xperia Z1 mini is just all same as the Xperia Z1 - Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2 GB RAM, IP55/58 certification, 16 GB internal storage with microSD card slot and the 20.7 MP camera with BIONZ image processing and f/2.0 Sony G lens.

As the naming suggested, the Xperia Z1 mini is just a smaller Xperia Z1, so it has a smaller 4.3" 720p IPS display and a smaller 2,300 mAh battery.

The device will be measuring at 65 x 127 x 9.4 mm and weighing at 140 g.
