Android 4.4 KitKat for LG Optimus G Pro arriving in Q2 2014

The LG Optimus G Pro was launched with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean but the company hasn't released any major update for the device. Well here might be a good news for those Optimus G Pro users, LG India has answered a question on Twitter through direct messages.



Although LG didn't officially announced the KitKat update plans for its products, but the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Optimus G Pro is said in working according to the message.


It seems that LG is now working hard on seeding the Android 4.4 KitKat update to its line-up. If the news provided by LG is true, then the update should be hitting the Optimus G Pro by the end of June.

LG was reportedly to skip the Android 4.3 update and move straight to Android 4.4 KitKat. These devices are including:
- LG Optimus F3
- LG Optimus F6
- LG Optimus F7
- LG G Pad 8.3
- LG G Pro Lite
- LG G Flex
- LG Optimus L9 II
- LG Optimus Vu II
- LG Optimus Vu III
- LG-D315 (unannounced)
- LG LS740 (unannounced)

LG has officially confirmed that the international G2 will be getting Android 4.4 KitKat in March. As for the Optimus G, there's no news about the Android KitKat update plan for it. We hope that the Optimus G will receive the KitKat treatment.
