[IFA 2014] Asus ZenWatch is the company's first smart wearable device

Just as expected Asus has made the company's first smart wearable device - ZenWatch. The ZenWatch is running on Android Wear and featuring a version of the ASUS ZenUI user interface developed specifically for ZenWatch.

  

The ZenWatch has a 2.5D curved glass to increase usability with a smooth and responsive touch experience. It features Watch Unlock, Tap Tap, Remote Camera, Cover to Mute, Find My Phone and Presentation Control.

It has a 1.63" display with the resolution of 320 x 320 and is powered by 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM.

The device also comes with 9-axis sensor, which means it is also a fitness tracker.

Besides the ZenWatch, Asus has also announced the new MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C). The slate is just at 8.3 mm slim and 269 g light.


The MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) is a premium tablet that inspired by stylish clutch bags and wallets. It has a 7" Full HD IPS display with the pixel density of 323 ppi.

The slate is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. It will be available in 16 GB or 32 GB variant plus microSD card slot.

The back of it is a 5 MP snapper while the front will be a 2 MP snapper. It will be available in Burgundy Red, Champagne Gold and Gentle Black.

The Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) is running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Asus ZenUI. Both Wi-Fi only and LTE variants will be available by the end of this month or early Q4 in selected market.
