[CES 2015] Asus ZenFone Zoom is the world's thinnest 3X optical zoom smartphone

Besides the ZenFone 2, Asus has also unveiled the company's first ever cameraphone. Yes, you heard me right, the ZenFone Zoom is a cameraphone.

The Asus ZenFone Zoom is a device like the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom. Its main focus in on the camera part. However, the camera doesn't seem can blow its rival away. The ZenFone Zoom is the world’s thinnest smartphone to feature a 13 MP camera with a 3X optical zoom. Its rear camera features a 10-element lens design with up to a 12X digital zoom for even finer close-up detail. The ZenFone Zoom also has an optical image stabilizer (OIS) for shake-free photos, combined with a revolutionary Laser Auto Focus for incredibly-sharp images every time.

The back of the device looks like Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 830. Just like the ZenFone 2, the front camera is a 5 MP unit and features Panorama Selfie.

The rest of the specs are pretty similar to the ZenFone 2 - 5.5" Full HD IPS display, LTE, 3,000 mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop with brand new ZenUI.

It will be available in Q2 2015 with Meteorite Black and Glacier White color options.
