[Computex 2014] Acer announces new smartphones, tablet and smartband

Acer has officially unveiled a few products at Computex 2014 with five smartphones, a tablet and a smartband.

Acer Liquid X1
The Acer Liquid X1 is an octa-core LTE smartphone with a 5.7" Zero Air Gap screen. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6592 SoC with 2 GB of RAM.


The device has a 16 GB on board storage with microSD card slot. At the back it has a 13 MP camera with 0.3 s ultra-fast focus, Free Focus and Bright Magic for capturing great pictures anywhere. Juicing up the device is a 2,700 mAh battery and it is running on Android 4.4 KitKat.

[Computex 2014] Asus introduces the new ZenFone smartphones, Transformer Pad and PadFone S

Asus has introduced a ton of products at Computex 2014, shortly after the Transformer Book V, Fonepad 8 and new MeMO Pad series, the new ZenFone smartphones, Transformer Pad and PadFone S are also now official.

Asus ZenFone 4 (A450CG) and ZenFone 5 LTE
Asus has refreshed the ZenFone lineup, just as we reported earlier, the new ZenFone is now support 4G LTE and with different screen size. The new Asus ZenFone 4 (A450CG) is an upgraded version of the old ZenFone 4 (not old actually, but the previous version). It has a larger 4.5" display with the same FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution that covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.


It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 1 GB of RAM. The device has the same 8 GB on board storage and is expandable via microSD card up to 64 GB.

The new ZenFone 4 has an 8 MP PixelMaster shooter at the back with LED flash, the previous ZenFone 4 has only 5 MP camera and does not have LED flash. Juicing up the device is a 1,750 mAh battery, which is even larger than the previous ZenFone 4.

[Computex 2014] Asus announces Transformer Book V, new Fonepad and MeMO Pad series

Asus has announced a few devices at Computex 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Asus Transformer Book V
The Transformer Book V is the world's first five-mode, three-in-one converged laptop that features a Windows and Android laptop and tablet as well as an Android smartphone, making it an incredibly flexible device able to excel in any usage scenario. Its revolutionary and elegant design comprises a laptop with a detachable 12.5-inch screen that becomes a separate tablet and a 5-inch smartphone that docks into the tablet.


The Transformer Book V runs on both Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat. As a laptop, the Transformer Book V includes a full QWERTY keyboard and touchpad. The laptop features a next-generation Intel Core processor and the 12.5-inch HD IPS display has sharp graphics and rich, vibrant color, and touch support adds additional convenience and functionality when using Windows 8.1.
